IN FOSTER IN PORTSMOUTH

Willow came to us a very nervous girl, knowing nothing of the outside world.  She has been with us a long time, mainly due to Covid – Willow was very nervous with strangers and we felt that she would need more than one meeting with her future humans.  Due to Covid restrictions this wasnt feasible for quite some time.

However, Willow has come on in leaps and bounds, and is far more confident.  She will now happily integrate with people, although care must be taken until she gets to know new people – Willow can still spook, and must be walked on a secure three point harness until complete trust is built.   She’s a happy fun loving girl, cuddly and affectionate once she knows you.  She enjoys a good walk, but doesnt need to go for miles.

Willow is a clever girl with a spring in her step – she can jump higher than you’d imagine for a dog of her size!  A secure garden is a must.  She’s a proper foodie; the way to her heart is definitely through her stomach!  Her beautiful coat needs a good deal of maintenance; her current groomer comes to her as that’s what she is happiest with.  She remains scared of sudden or loud noises – for this reason we would like her to go to a quieter home, with older children who would understand this.  

Willow could live with another dog, but any resident dog would need to be calm and chilled – she gets very worried by noisy busy dogs.  She isnt cat tested so we wont be placing her where there are cats.
