Maximutt Stanley is a proper handsome hunk!  He’s a really lovely boy; he’s a little wary of strangers on first meeting but soon warms to people.  He’s fit and active, and loves his walks.  He gets on well with his doggy pals in foster, but he can be full on, so gentle introductions to any existing dogs will be needed.  He is gentle and can live with sensible children although older ones would be preferred due to his size and bounce.  He plays a mean game of football!

We are told Stanley is 9 but he doesnt look or act his age – he’s full of beans and loves life.  He is strong on lead and needs to be walked on a halti – applicants will need to be able to handle him.  Stanley has not been cat tested and we will therefore not accept homes with cats for him.

Stanley came to us with chronic longstanding yeast infections in both ears.  His ear canals are open and it looks as though no permanent damage has been done, but its likely this will be an ongoing condition.  His ears are responding to treatment but are going to take a while to clear.  He also has a lump inside his mouth that we will have removed before he leaves us, as its quite sore.  It will need to be monitored going forward.  Please bear these things in mind before applying as you will NOT be able to insure Stanley for these things and its likely he will need treatment in future for them.
