Little Sooty is a sweet boy once he gets to know you, but he does need gentle time to make friends.  Once he’s given his heart he is the most loyal little dog but he is worried about strangers.  He hasnt had an easy life until now so its no wonder he is anxious.  At just 4kg he’s a tiny boy, and the world can be a scary place for a little dog.

He’s a lively lad who loves his walks and running time.  He’s clever and quick to learn.  He is currently in foster with other dogs but he doesnt really relate to them, and would clearly prefer to be the only dog in the home.  He isnt tested with cats so we wont be placing him with them.

Sooty is slowly learning things like how to play, and that nobody will ever hurt him again.  Gentle socialisation is needed, so that he feels safe and can enjoy life.  He will need a few meetings to become comfortable with his new owners.  Due to his nervous nature Sooty needs a child free home – if he gets worried he can snap.

Sooty has a history of seizures.  Epilepsy medication has been tried, with no effect.  He is currently on a gluten free raw diet, and since being on this has had no seizures; its therefore needful that his future owner maintains him on raw food – this is widely available and we’re happy to provide guidance on this.
