IN FOSTER IN GATESHEAD

Lola came to us as her owner was unable to give her the attention she deserves, and she was spending long periods of time in a crate.  As a result she was overweight and had no muscle tone – this has already begun to improve with regular excercise.

Lola is a self opinionated little girl who knows exactly what she wants!  She needs a home that understands chihuahuas and will allow her to come to them when she is ready.  She doesnt immediately want to be picked up and cuddled, and will tell you so!  Once she knows and trusts you, she is very easy going.  She just needs her new owner to take things slowly at first, so that she can show who she really is – a loving little dog, full of character and a lot of fun to be around.

Although currently living with a mixed group of other dogs, Lola has shown us that she would really prefer to be the only dog in the home.  She is wary of large dogs and will bark at them.  She doesnt mind smaller dogs so much but will try to boss them around given the chance.  She isnt interested in playing with other dogs, and would much prefer to be with people.  Lola hasnt been tested with cats, but given how she is with dogs we suspect she would be the same with a cat.

If you think you could offer Lola a home please complete the form below.  Homechecks and adoption donation of £225 apply, and you’ll need to be able to meet her in her foster home.
