Say Hello to Gorgeous George!  George is a big chunk of love, just waiting for his new family.  He is almost two years old – his birthday is in November.

George loves everybody and adores children in particular, but he is a clumsy great oaf and has absolutely no idea how heavy he is – he’s a tank who sees no reason why he should go around when he can go straight through!  For this reason we would prefer any children in the home to be older – George would knock little ones down like skittles!

Georges favourite things are cuddles, balls, cuddles, tug toys, cuddles, things to chew, water games and cuddles.  Did we mention the cuddles?  This boy is a real lovebug.  He enjoys his walks, whatever the weather and will insist on going out – so if you dont like walking in the rain this is not the lad for you.  He loves to make a nice mess all over the carpet chewing his toys to bits – so if you’re houseproud you had better look away!

George can live with other dogs, but a lot of dogs dont like him – they struggle to read him, and because he is so clumsy they are wary of him.  Doggy introductions will need to take place with care, to ensure that any resident dogs dont dislike him.  He is not cat tested, so we will not consider placing him in homes where there are cats.

George came to us very overweight; he’s lost a fair bit since coming to us but his new owner must be committed to helping him recover his lost waistline.

Adorable as he is, bulldogs do have some specific needs, so we are looking for a home for him with someone who has experience of this breed or who can show us that they understand their needs.  Please put as much information showing this as possible on your application to be considered for him.

George is in foster in Portsmouth and his future adopter must be able to visit him in his foster home.  Homecheck and £250 adoption donation apply.
