Dexter is such a loving boy – his favourite places are either on your lap, or draped round your neck like a scarf!  He’s medium sized, around the size of a springer spaniel, but he doesnt seem to realise he’s a bit big to hang round your neck.  He would be happy with another doggy friend, but is too bouncy for small ones – if there was another dog in the family it playful dog his own size or larger.  Dexter cant live with cats – true to his Bedlington ancestry, he will chase.

This boy would be a wonderful family pet, he gets on great with children, but he’s bouncy and energetic so we would ask that any children are older  – he’d knock tiny ones flying without realising.  

Dexter does need basic training, so will need a home willing to commit to this.  We’ve already started and he’s very quick to learn. He’s a fun loving, energetic young lad who has so much potential to be a great dog indeed!

Dexter does have separation anxiety – he has rarely been left, and he does struggle with this.  We’re working to help him to accept it, but initially he will need someone at home most of the time, or a home that can make provision for him.
