IN FOSTER IN SOUTHAMPTON, HAMPSHIRE

Dear Boris is an anxious little lad who has had too many homes in his short life.  He takes time to connect to new people but once he does, he bonds very strongly.  He’s a loving chap with those he knows; he loves to play and is so affectionate – he just needs someone who is willing to give him the time and space he needs to adjust.

Boris suffered from separation anxiety before coming to us; we’ve seen no sign of it but that doesnt mean it wont happen again.  For this reason we would like a potential adopter who wont be leaving him alone too long.

Boris was adopted, but sadly has developed resource guarding with other dogs – he guards his toys and his people.  We can help any potential adopters to manage this, and he is happy to share his belongings with humans – just not other dogs.  But for this reason he needs to be the only pet in the home.  As he is a worried boy, any children in the home must be older, calm ones – no youngsters please, he simply would cope.

Despite his anxieties, Boris is a delightful, clever, loving boy who loves to have fun.  He needs plenty of excercise and ideally little training games or other activities to keep his mind occupied – Patterdales are a working breed and they do like to use their brains!  He’s a huge character who just needs someone to give him the security and stability he badly needs.

If you would like to apply for Boris please fill in the form below – please be aware that you will need to visit him more than once to allow him to get used to you.  Homecheck and £250 adoption donation applies.

PLEASE NOTE – BORIS IS IN FOSTER IN OUR SOUTHERN BRANCH AND YOU WILL NEED TO BE ABLE TO TRAVEL TO MEET HIM – WE CANNOT DELIVER HIM TO YOU.
